JASON DELANEY: Jason has been a practicing musician and guitarist for over 25 years and he’s been performing guitar professionally since 2001. Jason Delaney is mostly self-taught in various styles of rock, country, heavy metal and fingerstyle. He began teaching guitar in the mid-90s and continued throughout his years in university and thereafter.
Since he began performing music in university, he have performed at hundreds of weddings and private functions. Performing and arranging are his passions and along with the added dimension of guitar looping and drum tracking he is bringing cocktail hour and event music to exciting new heights. Simple fingerstyle or classical guitar music isn’t always enough for larger events with bigger, louder crowds so the added layers of guitars and drums really gives an added presence.
ANGIE HILLS: Born in Saskatoon, Angie began singing professionally as a young girl, singing jingles for local radio and television. She has most recently been known to “sit in” or sing background vocals for local musicians. Her ear and rhythm for music has been passed down through many generations of musicians in her family. Angie’s mother Sharon was not only an inspiration but also a well recognized vocal coach that helped guide her powerful, soulful style. Angie’s dad Jack was a country singer that was always willing and ready to bring out the guitar and get her singing at family events.
ROBERT ROOKE: Robert was exposed to music at a very young age and started playing bass guitar at 11 years old. Around this same time he started to write lyrics and experiment with simple chords on the guitar and became influenced by the music of Jack Johnson. He started to sing soon after and ended up winning a local competition “Chestermere Idol” with an original song at the age of 13.
But it wasn’t until he was about 15 and after hearing Stevie Ray Vaughan’s version of “Little Wing” that his passion for the electric guitar was born. Robert then got into all styles of guitar and after high school, attended Mount Royal University where he obtained his diploma in Jazz Performance.
BRENT TYLER: Tyler has an intricate and skillful guitar style combined with a disarming and soulful voice befit of his literal seven-foot stature. He balances the soft subtlety of honest and introspective folk music with catchy and powerful soul-roots hooks and melodies born of his childhood influences and contemporary crushes.
A Calgary, Alberta native, Tyler grew up between two contrasting worlds of sport and music. His physical size made him an obvious choice for the University of Calgary basketball team, but his genuine heart beckoned him down a path of music performance. Self-taught from the age of 9 years old, Tyler’s percussive guitar style was influenced heavily by the likes of James Taylor, Martin Sexton, and Dave Matthews. With a voice that bellows the foundation, yet dynamically delicate and sincere, Tyler’s blend of guitar and voice sounds like a whole band.
Brent Tyler. Big man. Big sound. Big love.
